an absolutely crazy first time experience

i've always wanted to go see a concert, and this week i was given the opportunity to go to my first ever concert. i've gone to local shows before, where smaller bands perform their songs and/or covers of other bands, which i have absolutely loved. however, the concert i went to was a totally different experience.

the foo fighters put on an absolutely amazing show, so good, that it had me smiling and screaming lyrics the entire time. i have always looked up to dave grohl, and his amazing songs. foo fighters is definitely one of my favorite bands i've ever listened to, if not, my favorite. and apparently, dave grohl likes to curse... a lot!

during the show, they even played part of Enter Sandman (Metallica), and some sort of Nine Inch Nails song, which surprised many, but they absolutely rocked playing both! unfortunately though, the concert had to end early when it started to downpour. dave grohl tried to play everlong, but they got around 30 seconds in before their mics were unplugged. the performance was around an hour and a half, which was more than enough anyway!

many stayed around to see if the show would continue, but after half an hour, we decided to leave and catch the train. my friends and i were running in the rain to reach the train in such desperation, our shoes were fully submerged in water and our clothes were more than soaked! and at the end, we missed the train.

luckily, i was able to navigate through the train system and half an hour later, got us on a train that would arrive a minute after our transfer was supposed to leave, but, with a stroke of luck (and a lot of running), we made it to the train. crazily enough, we only had one transfer, and would end up arriving back at our original station an hour earlier (12:20am vs 1:06am) than the original train would! if we would have waited for the next train without taking any chances, we would have arrived back at our original station at 2:00am.

i couldn't believe the experience that we had that night, and i still can't. it is safe to say that none of us will ever forget what had happened that night... and i am extremely grateful for my friend, which gave us their spare tickets for free!
