why i still listen to music on cds

cds are really outdated.. but they still rock!

i will admit, in a world where you can easily listen to any song you'd ever want over "streaming services" such as spotify, pandora, and youtube, listening to cds is very outdated. so why do people still use cds to listen to music, especially when they are expensive to purchase and require a cd player?

even though my phone, speakers, and car all support bluetooth -- there's a feeling that i get from playing music from a cd that is unexplainable. may it be nostalgia as i collected cds when i was young? regardless, i suppose it may be similar to the feeling of playing music from a vinyl, however i do not own any due to cds being a lot more portable, affordable, and you can store many in a small area with low risk of damage.

additionally, if you'd like to disconnect from the online world and take a break from electronic screens, cds pose as a great way to do so because you own an actual physical copy of music that can obviously be played anywhere, at any time, without an internet connection; or without taking up any space on your device!

and for others who love music like i do.. owning physical copies of your favorite albums is not only fun, but cool to collect and share with friends that have similar music tastes. besides, have you seen the cool artwork that are exclusive to cds?! you can't find that on streaming services!

if you or somebody else you know appreciates cds, i would love to hear your input in the comments.
